Morning Watercolor Class with Cynthia Krupnik

Ages: Adults 
Beginners through experienced painters
Cost: $96 Members; $120 Non-members 
Mondays, 8:30 am-10:30 am, for 8 weeks
Beginning: Monday, April 28
Want to begin watercolor and don't know where to start or are you currently experienced and want more tips and inspiration? Come to our new watercolor class! We will quickly go over basic technique and move toward discovering your own personal style. We will learn tips on everything from finding color in a white still life to capturing a moment quickly and "sketching" with a brush using a live model! Material list provided at sign-up.
 
 

“Let’s Get Muddy”

Hand Built & Wheel Thrown Ceramics with David Wilhelm & Cynthia Krupnik
Mature Teens and Adults
Participants: 2 MIN - 6 MAX
Cost: $100 Members; $125 Non-Members
Materials Cost: $25 (Includes 2 bags of clay) additional cost for more clay.
Wednesdays, 5:30pm-8:30pm, for 8 weeks
Start date: Wednesday April 23rd, pending student sign up
 
This is a great opportunity to gain a wide snapshot of what you can do in the ceramic world.  We will teach you the basics in the exciting world of clay!! Students will create works on the wheel (cylinders, cups, bowls & vessels) as well as hand build pieces (pinch pots, coil building, slab building) as well as proper footing, how to glaze, and the firing processes.
Materials Needed: Students need to buy; sketch book 8x10 or 11x14 (1) & 
water bucket (1; large plastic butter containers work well). 
All other tools provided. 
 
 
 

Intro to Art with Cynthia Krupnik and David Wilhelm

Ages 7-12, * based on maturity level, please ask teacher for more details*
Saturdays, 10am-12pm 8 weeks
Cost $96 members $120 Non-members
+Plus $10 Material Fee
Beginning April 26 *no class May 3* 
Are you excited about art and want to experiment with different mediums? Or are you a parent who sees your child’s artist abilities and wants to see what they can do? This class will help young artists in the making get a taste of different mediums and delve into the creative side! Each week will be a different medium and a new creative project for their home gallery and a chance to exhibit their work in the Elementary show coming up in March!  We will teach classes on drawing, charcoal, oil pastel, chalk pastel, acrylic paint, watercolor, and even clay!
 
 

Teen Art Class  with Cynthia Krupnik and David Wilhelm

Ages 13-20
Cost $96 members $120 Non-members
+Plus $25 Material Fee
Thursdays 5:30PM-7:30PM, for 8 weeks
Beginning April 24 *no class May 1 and June 5*
This is a multimedia class for mature teens. Are you excited about art and want to learn how to draw, and begin to work in other mediums, but you’re not sure where to start? Or are you a parent who sees your child’s artist abilities and wants to see what they can do? Drawing, charcoal, pastels and painting are a great place to begin your artist journey it’s the backbone and building block to every visual art form. Let us help you begin!!
Cynthia will also help with portfolios and preparing for art shows, scholarship competitions, and applying for higher education.

 

Basic Acrylics - Eileen Stroup

Ages: Mature teens and up

Cost $96 Members, $120 non-members

Plus $25 material fee

Monday 6- 8 pm - 8 Weeks

April 21, 28, May 5, 12, 19, 26, June 2, 9

Work on the basics of acrylic painting, color matching, copying photos and paintings.

Still life painting. Students will paint class work and at least one painting of their choice.

All materials provided with paid fee.

 

 

Beginners Drawing for Adults - Sue Baechtel

Cost $96 Members, $120 Non-members

Wednesdays - 6-8pm

April 23, 30, May 7,14, 21, 28, June 4, 11

If you thought you could only do stickmen, think again.

Sue will take you step by step from beginning drawing to holy cow! I didn't think I could do that!

If you have ever wanted to learn to draw this is the class for you. Sue comes to us with

30+ years of teaching experience and has many tricks up her sleeve to get you drawing.

Adult Drawing Class - Sue Baechtel

$96 Members, $120 Non-members

Tuesday evenings 6-8 pm 

April 22, 28, May 6, 13, 20, 27, June 3, 10

Some experience necessary as Sue helps you develop your style
