Hello all and Happy New Year!

We are going to start a fun gallery at the Art Center. Each month we will pick

a famous artist. Everyone can paint something in the style of that painter or

choose a piece by that artist and copy it.

I saw this in a gallery in Florida and it was very successful down there.

The idea is to have fun and see if you can emulate the style of a famous painter

even reproduce a painting that is somewhat close to the original. Obviously, you

must sign you piece, very clearly, with your own name slash artists name. Each

piece will be identified as a copy or in the style of.

The first month starting in January will be Van Gogh and February will be Gustav

Klimt. Have each piece ready for hanging with wire...no hooks or clips or tooth edge

hardware please.

You may use any medium you wish but must be 2d and ready for hanging.

Give it a try....you might like it and it will give the Art Center another unique feature.

One piece per artist only and a $5 fee for an entry.
